Don’t Do Software Reviews Using Beta Operating Systems

  • Notes when making app store reviews of beta and developer preview OSes
  • Do not use beta operating systems if you are aren’t prepared for a bumpy ride
  • The Operating system is not finished and will be buggy
  • Third party software will likely not have access to beta features.
  • Its unfair to rate developers poorly for things not under their control.

The Challenges Apple Could Face in Streaming TV Service Negotiations

  • Apple is rumored to be talks with TV networks about a streaming TV service
  • reportedly the sticking point is the Broadcast Networks’ Regional Affiliates
  • Apple would have to negotiate with individual affiliates and/or their parent companies
  • Apple may be trying to enlist the networks to have the affiliates give the networks the right to negotiate on their behalf
  • Deals would also be complicated by existing cable deals and sports contracts

  • Will run a custom version of Lollipop
  • Coming to large european markets of Italy, France, and Germany as well as Poland with plans to expand to the US

Nintendo President Passes Away

  • Nintendo President Satoru Iwata died on Saturday the 11th
  • Age 55
  • Due to complications from a bile duct growth
  • Formerly game developer and later President of game designer HAL Laboratory
  • worked on the Kirby games among others
  • Joined Nintendo in 2000
  • Hand picked by longtime Nintendo President Yamauchi to become Nintendo’s President in 2002
  • Became CEO in 2013.
